WideXP
Built to scale. Engineered to win.
48V power inverters are a critical part of modern vehicle electrical systems, controlling the flow of energy across multiple components. What used to be a straightforward power module has now become a safety-critical system where failures can impact vehicle stability and electrical safety. These inverters must manage overcurrent, thermal events, and control faults while complying with strict functional safety standards.
In this project, we provided comprehensive Functional Safety engineering for a 48V power inverter, aligned with ISO 26262 requirements. Our team conducted Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA), defined safety goals, allocated ASIL levels, and specified functional and technical safety requirements. We also implemented safety mechanisms including fault detection, monitoring, and safe states to ensure robust operation.
The solution included full traceability from hazards to implementation, ensuring that every safety requirement was verifiable and auditable. At the same time, we balanced risk mitigation with practical implementation constraints to deliver a maintainable system. The objective was to create a reliable, ISO 26262-compliant inverter platform. The result was a production-ready, safe, and resilient power electronics system that meets OEM safety requirements and supports vehicle stability.
